Leadership of company in Nizhny Novgorod Region suspected of not paying over 40 million rubles of wages to workers of poultry factory

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Nizhny Novgorod Region have launched a criminal case against director of OOO APK Rubezh (LLC) and other unidentified persons suspected of not paying wages to workers (part 2 of article 145.1 of the RF Penal Code).

According to investigators, the director of OOO APK Rubezh and other unidentified persons did not pay wages to 741 workers of the poultry factory Novgorodskaya between April and July 2013. As a result their debt is over 40 million rubles and has not been paid out till the present time. The suspects, however, could have paid the debt, but they spent the money on other production and economic needs.

At present the investigators are searching the offices and seizing the necessary documents. A check is going to be ordered to find the precise sum of the debt.

At the moment the pre-trial restraining measure is being contemplated. The necessary investigating operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
