Investigation of criminal case into murder of local man and attempted murder of head of directorate of Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance finished in Ingushetia

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Republic of Ingushetia have finished investigating a criminal case against 24-year-old Yunadi Shakhtamirov from Chechnya. he is charged with crimes under paragraphs “f” and “g” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder committed by an organized group in conspiracy by a generally dangerous way), part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “a”, “f”, “g” and “h” of part 2 of article 105 (an attempted murder committed by an organized group in conspiracy by a generally dangerous way out of mercenary motives) and part 2 of article 222 (illegal circulation of weapons).

According to investigators on 25 February 2013, around 8:40 AM, near house No 31b in Moskovskaya Street in the town of Nazran, Chechen nationals Islam and Yunadi Shakhtamirov, driving a VAZ-2106, shot multiple times from 5.45mm automatic gun at head of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republic of Ingushetia 56-year-old Ruslan Dakhilgov and persons accompanying him – Akhmet Akiyev, Ibragim Dakhilgov, and Ruslan Dakhilgov’s son – Osman Murgustov.

Ruslan and Ibragim Dakhilgov and Akhmet Akiyev were wounded, as a result of which Aliyev died in the Ingush republican clinical hospital. Ruslan and Ibragim Dakhilgov were hospitalized. After the crime the attackers tried to flee the scene on the abovementioned car, but Murgustov organized a chase. During the chase the two cars collided and Islam and Yunadi Shakhtamirov and Mugrustov were injured and taken to the Ingush republican clinical hospital.

Later one of the attackers Islam Shakhtamirov died in the hospital not gaining consciousness.

As a result of their scrupulous work investigators of the local Investigative Committee and operative police officers have found that the organizers and perpetrators of the crime were residents of the town Urus-Martan of the Chechen Republic. They committed the crime for 1 million rubles trying to kill head of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republic of Ingushetia Ruslan Dakhilgov.

One of the organizers of the crime is wanted and the criminal case against him has been severed into a separate law suit.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence and the criminal case against Yunadi Shakhtamirov with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
