5 good vans with black coal derailed on 30 December at about 4:50 AM, Moscow, time in the suburbs of Irkutsk near Batareynaya station on East Siberian railway. 2 wagons overturned. The investigating bodies of East Siberian Transport Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee are conducting a pre-investigating check into the fact.

It is reported that the wagons started moving spontaneously from a commercial cargo base located on Rosa Luxemburg in the city of Irkutsk. No casualties were reported. The damage to the railway and the owner of the wagons is being established.

A procedural decision will be made following the check.
