Another crime revealed in criminal investigation against officials of Volga Federal District Department of Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources

The Volga Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case initiated over signs of a crime under article 290 of the RF Criminal Code (bribe-taking by an organized group) against head of the Volga Federal District Department of Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources Igor Lola, his deputy Pavel Atrokhin and other persons.

During investigation it was revealed that Atrokhin took another bribe of 600 thousand rubles through an intermediary – official of a Department in Volga Federal District Department of Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources Yulia Fayzrakhmanova – for issuing a license to a business entity. under the investigators’ petition Fayzrakhmanova was placed under house arrest as a pretrial restraining measure.

As it was earlier reported, senior officials of the Department of Volga Federal District Department of Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources had many times received through intermediaries bribes for positive conclusions of the state ecological expert examination for landfills of solid domestic waste and for measures token to annul the licenses issued to the rival companies. The total sum of the bribes amounts to more than 5 million rubles. At present Igor Lola and Pavel Atrokhin are in the custody.

Investigators are establishing other persons involved in giving or taking bribes. Investigation is to be continued.
