Progress of investigation into plotting mass riots

The Central Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case over preparing mass disorders. It was earlier reported that Leonid Razvozzhayev had refused that he had come to police at his own accord and pleaded guilty, but investigators anyway have enough evidence of involvement of persons under this investigation in conspiring mass riots in the country. Over this time investigation has had even further progress. Apart from the video shown on TV and known by everybody, investigators have also other material evidence proving numerous facts of communication between the suspects, including Leonid Razvozzhayev, Sergey Udaltsov and Konstantin Levedev foreign citizens, including Givi Targamadze to discuss organization of mass disorder in the Russian Federation. After the results of the expert examinations are received, the materials will be published.

In addition, over this time investigators have got other conclusive evidence, including witness testimonies confirming seriousness of the suspects’ intentions to organize mass riots in Russia. Namely, investigators have information that followers of the suspects took a special training outside Russia to learn how to organize and carry out mass riots in order to overthrow the government based on the example of “color revolutions” in other countries.
