Prosecutor suspected of extorting a bribe in large amount of an entrepreneur at the Boguchansky District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Investigating bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Krasnoyarsk region, in cooperation with the Prosecutor General Office of the Russian Federation and the Federal Security Service Directorate of the Krasnoyarsk Territory carried out an inspection which resulted in filing a criminal case against the Prosecutor of the Boguchansky District, Roman Lychkovsky. He is suspected of having committed an offense under Part 3 of Article 30 sub-paragraphs "B", "C" and Part 5 of Article 290 of the RF Criminal Code (attempt to take a bribe committed by an official due to inaction in favor of the briber).

According to the investigators, in November 2012, Lychkovsky met with the head of one of the commercial organizations and informed him that the Prosecutor Office of the Boguchansky District of the Krasnoyarsk region was conducting an inspection of the specified organization in order to verify the compliance with the requirements of the current legislation on the environment protection and the provisions of forest and land laws. The prosecutor demanded a bribe of 500 thousand rubles for non-conduct of the inspection. The businessman agreed to hand over a part of money. December 4, 2012 at about 18 hours Lychkovsky received a bribe of 300 thousand rubles from a businessman.

At present, Lychkovsky is detained. The complex of the necessary investigative actions is carried out in order to establish all the circumstances of the crime. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
