Chairman of the Investigative Committee held an operational meeting in the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria to hear reports on the progress and initial results of the work of the investigation group investigating the murder of a journalist Kazbek Gekkiyev.

The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Main Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the North Caucasus Federal District, investigators and criminologists of the Investigative Committee and the employees of FSB and MOI of Russia carrying out operational support in the proceedings.

According to the results of the meeting, A. Bastrykin gave instructions on specific investigative and operational activities to ensure the early disclosure of the murder of a journalist.
