Explanation in regard to personal reception of citizens by the SK Chairman in Krasnodar

In connection with complaints of the citizens, who couldn’t get to the personal reception of the Investigative Committee Chairman in Krasnodar on 6 December, I should explain the following.

There were about 300 people who had appointment with the Chairman of the Investigative Committee. This is why Alexander Bastrykin ordered his Deputy Boris Karnaukhov and a number of heads of structural units if the Central Office of the Investigative Committee to receive citizens together with him. The reception took from 1 to 9:30 p.m. and I have to note that all the citizens were received, who came into the Krasnodar Territory Investigations Directorate on 6 December. Moreover, on the assumption of the capability of the administrative building, there were created all necessary conditions for those waiting to be received. Of course, Chairman of the Investigative Committee could not receive personally all who had an appointment, but all who had an appointment (whoever received them) can be sure of objective and careful review of their questions as all materials and checks were taken under personal control of the Chairman.

Furthermore, I would like to remind that Mr. Bastrykin regularly holds personal receptions both in Moscow and other cities of Russia. In the Krasnodar territory alone he has held four personal receptions this year. In addition, a direct telephone line operates no less than twice a month, on which any citizen can address the Chairman by phone. There is also Internet-reception in the Investigative Committee to insure additional opportunities to address the Chairman.
