In Udmurt Republic, pre-investigative checks launched into crash of light aircraft and two deaths

Today, at 10:30 AM, a training microplane flew from the Pirogovo airfield near Izhevsk. There were two people - an instructor and a trainee – on board. At 12:48 PM, Moscow time, the plane crashed on landing. Two people were killed. The investigating authorities of the Volga Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation launched a pre-investigation check into this fact.

Currently, an investigative team is conducting a crime scene examination and a complex of activities aimed at establishing the causes of the incident and interviewing the witnesses. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the check.
