In accordance with article 217 of the Criminal Procedure Code the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has presented to the lawyer Aleksey Navalny and CEO of Vyatskaya Lesnaya Kompania Pyotr Ofitserov files of the criminal case over embezzlement in Kirovles.  

Aleksey Navalny is charged with a crime under Part 3 of Article 33, Part 4 of Article 160 of the RF Criminal Code (organization of embezzlement on a large scale). Pyotr Ofitserov is charged with a crime under part 5 of article 33 and part 4 of article 160 of the RF Criminal Code (complicity in a large-scale embezzlement).

After the accused is finished with studying the materials of the case, it will be forwarded to the prosecutor for the indictment to be approved and later to court to be tried on the merits.
