The Main Military Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee is carrying out a pre-investigating check into selling under the market price about 1 ha of land and buildings on it belonging to the Defense Ministry.
According to the materials, in July 2010 the resort city Anapa, having reviewed the application of Anatoly Serdyukov, then head of the Defense Ministry, passed to the Defense Ministry Department of Property Relationships 9.2 thousand square meters of land and buildings on it to construct a navigation station.
In autumn of the same year the abovementioned assets were handed over to state unitary enterprise District material warehouse of Moscow District Air Forces and Defense of the Russian Defense Ministry and later privatized by setting up an open joint-stock company. Later the land and buildings on it were sold for 110 million by the third organization. According to independent experts the real commercial cost of the assets was 167 million rubles. At present an elite country resort complex is being built ther under the order of Valery Puzikov.
Military investigators are going to question officials of the Defense Ministry, municipality of resort city Anapa, managers of OAO District material warehouse of Moscow District Air Forces and Defense and a firm that bought the assets about the circumstances in which the abovementioned decisions were made and transactions with property.
A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the check.
