Suspect in murder of cash-in-transit guard at one of Tomsk hypermarkets arrested in Novosibirsk Region

Tomsk Region investigating bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation continue criminal investigation into the murder of a cash-in-transit guard hat had been committed during a robbery in the city of Tomsk (Paragraph "h" of Part 2 of Article 105 of RF the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, June 29, 2014, in the evening, two Sberbank cash couriers were attacked in the staff area of the hypermarket "Lenta" located at 30, Prospect Mira, Tomsk. One of the cash collectors was killed by a gunshot during the attack. The attacker stole money in the amount of 3.3 million rubles.

As a result of joint actions of investigators of the Major Crime Unit of the Tomsk Region Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and officers of the regional office of the Russian Ministry of the Interior a suspect in this crime was arrested in the village of Novolugovoye, Novosibirsk Region on the night of July 23, 2014, where he lived in a detached house of his incident acquaintance.

Currently, investigators are searching the house and interviewing witnesses. During the search they have seized weapons and part of the stolen money in the amount of more than 2.5 million rubles. According to preliminary reports, the suspect lived on someone else's passport. Investigators are checking the information about other crimes that had been committed in other cities by the same person.
