Investigation team of Russia’s Investigative Committee shelled from Ukraine

July 25, an investigative team, which included a number of members of the Russian Investigative Committee units, was surveying an area west of the village of Primiussky, Kuibyshevo District, Rostov Region in connection with its shelling from the territory of Ukraine on July 23. During these investigative actions, a group of employees of the Russian IC, which were in clothing with special signs and inscriptions, underwent a massive mortar attack.

There is no doubt that it was precision shooting, and the attackers intended to kill the members of Russian law enforcement agencies. And, apparently, only bad skills of the Ukrainian military and timely evacuation of investigators covered by armored vehicles thwarted the attackers’ intent. The mortars shot 82-mm caliber bombs and made a total of 47 shots. Later, 32 more bombs were launched to this area from the territory of Ukraine.

Also, according to preliminary data, a minor resident of Primiussky, who was in the yard of her house, suffered mild concussion during this shelling from Ukraine.

The Southern Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia are now deciding on launching criminal investigation into these facts and establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
