In Udmurtia manager of school cafeteria found guilty of sanitary breach poisoning many children

A court has found the evidence gathered by the investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Republic of Udmurtia sufficient to convict manager of cafeteria in Italmas school Vera Churakova, 57. She was found guilty of a crime under part 1 of article 236 of the RF Penal Code (breach of sanitary and epidemiological rules involving by negligence mass illness or food poisoning of children).

The court and investigators have found that on 7 March 2014, 33 teenagers from 5-11th grades were taken to Zavyalovo District, Udmurtia with an acute enteric infection. The cause of food poisoning was the food children had eaten in the school cafeteria.

The court has sentenced Churakova to a fine of 30 thousand rubles in installments during 1 year.
