Russian Ministry of Education and Science searched in Moscow

Moscow investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case against three persons including chancellor of State Management University Viktor Kozbanenko. They are suspected of a crime under part 6 of article 290, part 4 of article 291.1 (bribe-taking, intermediary in bribe-taking).

According to investigators, the chancellor demanded a fee from a representative of a commercial organization for their victory in a tender for the state contract.

Today investigators are searching the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation to search and seize objects and documents relevant for the criminal investigation. The Ministry staff are checked on being involved in the crime.

The suspects were placed in custody as a pre-trial restraining measure. Criminal investigation is ongoing.
