Deputy of State Duma of Federal Assembly of 6^th convocation Oelg Mikheyev has been interrogated by an investigator of Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee as witness in the criminal case over stealing funds by deceit from OAO NOMOS-BANK in the amount of more than 174 million rubles. Based on the results of the interrogation and all the evidence gathered by investigators Mikheyev was notified about the date when he would be charged. Earlier State Duma had stripped deputy Mikheyev of his immunity and gave consent to start criminal proceedings against him.

In another criminal case investigated by the Investigative Committee Oleg Mikheyev is suspected of crimes under part 3 of article 30, part 4 of article 159 of the RF Criminal Code (attempted swindling), part 4 of article 159 (swindling), part 3 of article 294 (interference of any kind in the activity of court to prevent justice committed by a person using their official position).

Investigators believe that the deputy is involved in illegal misappropriation of 14 objects of real estate of Volgograd bridge-building plant worth more than 500 million rubles, attempted stealing by swindling of 2.1 billion rubles from Promsvyazbank and in preventing justice.

Criminal investigation is ongoing.
