Kamchatka Territory investigating bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee have charged Andrey Fomenko, former head of Federal State Property Management Agency in Kamchatka Territory with exceeding official powers (part 1 of article 286 of the RF Criminal Code).
Federal State Property Management Agency in Kamchatka Territory had in its disposal see crafts confiscated by the court for poaching. The said property as a tool of poaching was subject to be sold at an auction or destroyed if it was impossible to sell it.
According to investigators, in September 2011 head of Kamchatka Territory office of Federal State Property Management Agency on the instructions of one of deputy heads, violating the current legislation issued illegal orders giving 15 ships confiscated under the court decision, to federal state unitary enterprises in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and the Republic of Mari-El. The same actions concerning two more ships were committed by the official in November 2011. In their turn those unitary enterprises sold the ships or gave them on lease.
This way, the illegal actions of the accused inflicted on the Russian Federation damage in the amount of more than 45 million rubles.
Kamchatka Territory investigating bodies will severe into a separate law suit criminal files against one of deputy heads of Federal State Property Management Agency and will send it to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee to decide on a procedural check.
Investigating operations are underway to finish the inquiry.
