Investigators petition to place Danilevsky charged with murder of two women in Kazan into specialized psychiatric facility

Today Tatarstan investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee are going to petition in court to petition on placing Igor Danilvesky charged with a murder of two women in Kazan (paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Criminal Code) into a specialized in-patient psychiatric facility.

According to a conclusion of the comprehensive psychological and psychiatric commission of experts of V.P. Serbsky Moscow State Research Center of Social and Forensic Psychiatry, Danilevsky suffers from temporary mental derangement which makes him incapable of understanding factual nature and public danger of his actions and to be in control of them. Danilevsky poses a danger for himself and people around, requires constant attendance and compulsory treatment in a specialized in-patient psychiatric facility until he recovers and then goes to another examination.

We remind, that on 29 August 2012, the bodies of a 78-year-old woman and her 38-year-old daughter were found in a flat in Fuchika Street in Kazan.

According to investigators, Danilevsky got friendly with his former group mate, promised to merry her and spend a vacation together. After that he talked her into taking a loan for him to pay out some of his debts to the banks. When the woman blamed him of a deceit he grabbed a knife and stabbed her several times. The woman’s mother heard the noise and came in from the adjacent room and Danilevsky stabbed her, too. The two women were dead. Then the man searched the flat to find a receipt and stole about 100 thousand rubles and two cell phones. To ward off the suspicions and make it look like a ritual murder Danilevsky arranged the bodies in a certain way and used their blood to write on the wall – FREE PUSSY RIOT.

In the near future investigators are going to issue a resolution to send the case to court to subject Danilevsky to compulsory treatment.
