The Saratov Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal case against a 28-year-old resident of Rovnoye District over a crime under part 1 of article 109 of the RF Penal Code (reckless homicide).

According to investigators, in the evening of 24 September 2014, a girl born in 2011 was home together with her parents and grandmother. Her father put a bucket of hot water on the floor, where he played with the girl. While they were playing the girl stumbled and overturned the bucket. She suffered a burn of 3^rd degree. The child’s parents tried to render medical aid and called an ambulance only a few hours after the girl stopped breathing. On their arrived the paramedics state the girl’s death.

According to a forensic medical examination the cause of the death was a burn of 60% of body and a burn shock.

At present investigating operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. During the probe the investigators are going to evaluate the parents’ actions. The investigation is ongoing.
