The Krasnoyarsk Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal case against an obstetrician of Krasnoturansk central district hospital on suspicions of a crime under part 2 of article 109 of the RF Penal Code (reckless homicide due to improper discharge of professional duties).

According to investigators, on 4 September 2014, the doctor delivered a 24-year-old resident of Krasnoturansk District of a baby. As a result of disturbances during the delivery (according to internal investigation) the baby got traumatized and taken to Minusinsk central district hospital, where later died.

A forensic medical expert examination has been fixed, the investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
