The Krasnoyarsk Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against former anesthetist of Siberian clinical center of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia KB-42 suspected of a crime under part 2 of article 109 of the RF Penal Code (infliction of death through negligence due to improper discharge of professional duties).

According to investigators, on 16 May 2014, during a surgery performed over a 46-year-old woman from Zelenogorsk the anesthetist incorrectly performed intubation of trachea after which the patient died of hypoxemia.

At present the investigators are looking into the circumstances of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
