A court has recognized the evidence collected by Krasnoyarsk Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict former head of Architecture, Town Building, Land and Property Relations of administration of Beryozovka District, Krasnoyarsk Territory. He was found guilty of four crimes under part 1 of article 286 of the RF Penal Code (committing by an official of actions obviously outside their authority and entailing considerable violation of rights and legal interests of citizens of the state).

The court and investigators have found out that in 2011, the official well aware of the factual category of pieces of land categorized as lands of settlements and state forest resources approved a plan of Beryozovka District stating that the said lands were of agricultural purpose. This way the head of the department exceeded his authority. The defendant committed those illegal actions to sell the said lands in future to interested parties. After the said documents had been approved, the lands were sold to heads of farms at a price much lower than the market one, which considerably damaged rights and legal interests of the population of the village of Beryozovka and Beryozovka District, Krasnoyarsk Territory and caused substantial pecuniary damage to the district administration.

The court has sentenced the accused to three years to be served in a correctional labour colony.
