Criminal case against one of Sagra riots organizers sent to court

The Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District has completed the investigation of the criminal case against one of the most active organizers and participants in the riots in the village of Sagra in the Sverdlovsk region, Magomed Bekov, accused of committing an offense under Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code ( organization of mass disorders).


Almost immediately after the crime, Magomed Bekov escaped from a preliminary investigation, in connection with which he has been put on the international wanted list. A pre-trial measure of restraint in the form of custody has been chosen against him in absentia.


Investigators collected sufficient evidence, in connection with which a criminal case with the indictment approved by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.


Earlier, 23 people were found guilty of organizing and participating in mass disorder in the village of Sagra.
