Cooperation agreement signed with Belarus Investigative Committee

April 25, 2013 Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin was a working visit to the Republic of Belarus, during which he signed an agreement on cooperation between the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

This agreement is aimed to strengthen international relations in the field of criminal justice. It suggests a further improvement of cooperation between the two agencies in the fight against transnational crime, terrorism, corruption, illicit trafficking in arms, narcotics and psychotropic substances, crimes in the sphere of economy and high-tech and other categories that represent an increased threat to society.

During a working meeting between Alexander Bastrykin and his Belarusian counterpart Valentin Shayev, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the document and further improvement of bilateral cooperation.
