Oryol Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue a criminal investigation into a murder of deputy head of Moscow department of science, industrial policy and proprietorship Andrey Uvarov (part 1 of article 105 of the RF Criminal Code).
At present investigators already know the route the victim took on the day of murder. On 30 April Uvarov with his wife and children arrived in Oryol to spend May holidays. During 3 May he was busy at home with his family. That day Uvarov’s mother was operated on in a local hospital. At 5 PM he arrived to his father and asked him to take his children as he and his wife were going to theater. At 8 PM he took the children and drove them home. At 11 PM the man again arrived to his father and staying for short time, drove home. At 11:30 PM he was killed in the stairwell of his house.
Investigators know positively that the killer shot without a silencer. The neighbors clearly heard the shots. Cartridge cases were found at the murder scene, presumably the killer shot from a TT pistol. All victim’s personal belongings were found with him. Witnesses of the murder have not been found so far, there was no CCTV camera in the house.
At present investigators are studying the victim’s circle of relations both in Oryol and in Moscow. Investigators have no information about any conflicts Uvarov might have had in Oryol.
Investigators are considering different versions of the murder, but they are sure that it was hired and was carefully planned, they see a hand from Moscow here.
On the orders of the senior officials of the Russia’s Investigative Committee several experienced criminal investigators of the Central Office were sent to Oryol. Everything possible will be done to solve this crime.
At present the investigating group continues working round the clock: they are questioning relatives and people from the victim’s close circle; forensic expert examinations are assigned immediately after a piece of evidence is found; active investigating operations are underway to find a person involved in the crime; all information concerning the murder is being processed.
