Military investigators in Moscow bring new charge against Maxim Zakutailo

Main Military Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has brought a new charge against Maxim Zakutailo, a former CEO of District Material Warehouse of Moscow District Air Forces and Air Defense. He is charged with a crime under part 3 of article 160 of the RF Criminal Code (embezzlement committed by a person using his official position).

It has been found that in June and October 2011, Zakutailo concluded two fictitious contracts under which Anastasia Dyankina should have perform the functions of his assistant and Igor Kryukov – his deputy. Though they did not arrive on workplace and did not perform their duties, Zakutailo gave illegal orders to pay them wages and bonuses. Thereof, the District Material Warehouse of Moscow District Air Forces and Air Defense groundlessly transferred to them 156 and 111 thousand rubles respectively.

It should be reminded that in November 2012, Main Military Investigations Directorate charged Zakutailo with crimes under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Criminal Code (swindling on an especially grand scale) and court granted the petition and placed him in custody as a pretrial restraining measure.

Investigation is ongoing.
