Two internationally wanted members of extremism community BORN arrested

Competent bodies of foreign states have arrested Ilya Gorachev and Mikhail Volkov. They were put on an international wanted list within investigation by Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee against organizers and members of extremism community BORN on charges of banditry, illegal handling of firearms, ammunition and explosives, murder of judge of Moscow city court Eduard Chuvashov, lawyer Stanislav Markelov, leaders of so-called anti-fascist Fyodor Filatov, Ilya Dahaparidze and Ivan Khutorsky, Thai box world champion Muslim Abdullayev, citizens Salakhedin Azizov, Rasul Khalilov, Soso Khachikyan, attempted murders of Ramazan Nurichuyev and an officer of interior affairs bodies Gagik Benyaminyan.

During the investigation the court ruled to prosecute Goryachev as the accused of crimes under part 1 of article 282.1 of the RF Criminal Code, part 1 of article 209, paragraphs “a”, “g”, “h” and “j” of part 2 of article 105, part 3 of article 222 (organization of extremism community, setting up a gang, murder, illegal handling of firearms) and Volkov – of crimes under part 2 of article 282.1, part 2 of article 209, paragraphs “a”, “g” “h” and “j” of part 2 of article 105, part 3 of article 222 (membership in extremism community, membership in a gang, murder, illegal handling of firearms).

Earlier Moscow’s Basmanny district court ruled to place the above-mentioned persons in custody.

At present extradition of Goryachev from Serbian and Volkov from Ukraine is under discussion. Russian Federal Security Service is carrying out operational support of the investigation.
