Leadership of Russian investigative Committee orders procedural check into bodily harm to Russian child in Greece

On the order of the Russia’s Investigative Committee, the Main Investigations Directorate has organized a pre-investigating check into media reports that an 11-year-old Russian was injured in Greece.

It has been preliminarily found that on 15 may 2013, 11-year-old Nikita Onishchenko was stabbed several times in back, legs and arms at the parking lot of Mitsis Lagoon hotel in the city of Anissaras, Crete.

At present the Russia’s Investigative Committee through Foreign Ministry of Russia has requested information on the circumstances of the incident from the competent bodies in Greece.

A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the check.
