On the order of the Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee the Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate has started a procedural check into the legitimacy of a decision to reissue registration and sell a part of Siversky forest in the Leningrad Region.

At the same time the investigators are going to sent a petition to the prosecutor’s office to pass a criminal case against representatives of the initiative group “Protect Siversky forest” opened over signs of a crime under paragraph “a” of part 1 of article 213 of the RF Criminal Code (hooliganism) from the bodies of internal affairs to the RF Investigative Committee.
