In Moscow region, former municipal officials accused of attempted fraud face trial

The Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District has completed the investigation of the criminal case against Former Head of the Legal Department of the Administration of the Solnechnogorsky municipal district of the Moscow region Yuri Komissarov and Former First Deputy Head of the Administration of the "Peshkovskoye" rural settlement of the same district Ivan Titkov. They are accused of crimes under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud attempt).

According to investigators, in November 2011, Komissarov and Titkov entered into a criminal conspiracy aimed at stealing money belonging to the Director General of OOO "Industrial Park "Sever". Under the pretext of helping entrepreneur reclassify his agricultural land plot, located near Shelepanovo village of the Solnechnogorsky municipal district of the Moscow region, the defendants attempted to obtain funds in the amount of 10 million rubles. In this case, there were no legal grounds preventing the change of the plot category. The illegal activity of Komissarov and Titkov was foiled by FSB officers in obtaining the above-mentioned funds.

Investigators collected sufficient evidence, and in connection with this, a criminal case with the confirmed indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
