Vice-Chairman of Russia’s Investigative Committee holds operational meeting with heads of investigations directorates in Far Eastern Federal District

Vice-Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Andrey Lavrenko has held an operational meeting with heads of investigations directorates in the Russia’s Far East, where he heard the reports on the progress of investigations and checks into violations occurred in preparing for and during taking anti-flood measures.

The main aim of the meeting is to control on site progress of investigation and pre-investigating checks connected with the massive flood in the Far East. The Vice-Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee held a personal meeting with each of the heads of local investigations directorates. In addition, each investigator, who is engaged in investigation of a criminal case or a pre-investigating check connected with the flood, reported to the Vice-Chairman in person on the work done and further planned actions. Mr. Lavrenko gave explicit orders to fix analyses, to carry out investigating operations, to seize documents and conduct other operations to find all the circumstances of the crimes.

At the meeting Mr. Lavrenko demanded from the heads of local directorates to speed up the work in checking the designation use of budget funds allocated for anti-flood measures and maintenance of hydraulic facilities in a proper state in the Far Eastern Federal District.

Besides, the Vice-Chairman heard reports of a number of heads of local directorates about main directions of activity their offices.
