In Moscow investigation against Magomed and Khalimat Rasulov finished

Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has finished investigating a criminal case against Magomed and Khalimat Rasulov. They are charged with a crime under article 317 of the RF Criminal Code (encroachment on the life of a law enforcement agent) and part 1 of article 318 (use of force against a representative of the authority). During the investigation the accused did not plead guilty.

According to investigators, on 27 July 2013, at Matveyevsky market place Magomed and Khalimat Rasulov fought back the police officers and badly wounded operative agent Andrey Kudryashov, who were trying to detain their relative Magomed Magomedov on suspicion of raping an underage girl. Rasulov hit the officer on his head with feast clutching a heavy object. After the attack the Rasulovs tried to flee, but were detained by the police. Rasulov was detained while trying to leave Moscow in a coach travelling to Dagestan.

Investigators have gathered enough evidence, therefore the criminal case with the approved indictment is going to go to Moscow City Court to be tried on the merits.
