Alexander Bastrykin holds personal reception of citizens in Moscow

Alexander Bastrykin held a personal reception of citizens in Moscow on 9 April 2014. The Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee received 14 residents of Saint-Petersburg, Astrakhan, Vladimir, Tambov, Chelyabinsk, Ulyanovsk regions, republics of Dagestan and Tatarstan.

The most of complaints addressed to Mr. Bastrykin during the personal reception concerned procedural decisions made over criminal cases investigated by investigating bodies in the said regions. This way on the order of Mr. Bastrykin a criminal case has been launched after he received a family from the Tambov Region telling about the death of a relative of theirs. The Chairman ordered to run all necessary analysis immediately and to send in the Tambov Region a team of experienced investigators for practical assistance in the investigation.

During the reception, which started at 11:00 AM and lasted till 05:00 PM, all citizens were received. Following the personal reception Mr. Bastrykin gave explicit orders to heads of a number of territorial investigating bodies. Progress of reviewing all accepted complaints and applications is under personal control of the Chairman.
