Vice Chairman of Russia’s Investigative Committee holds meeting in Yakutia regional investigations directorate

Vice Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Andrey Lavrov has held a meeting in the city of Yakutsk to summarize up performance of investigating bodies in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the 1st quarter of 2014 and voiced the results of the work of the commission rendering the republican investigating bodies methodological and practical assistance. The meeting was attended by officials of the Central Office of the Russia’s Investigative Committee, leadership of the Investigations Directorate of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and heads of territorial divisions.

The special attention was paid to organization of work for protection constitutional rights of citizens during criminal proceedings, registration and consideration of reports on crimes, quality of initial investigation, observance of law requiring decent time of legal proceedings.

The heads of the investigations offices were ordered to enhance efficiency and quality of investigations and to tighten procedural control over inquiries.

In addition, the Vice Chairman visited several investigations offices to check the results of criminal investigations.
