On the eve of the 69th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War, employees of the Investigations Directorate visited the Memorial Complex "Valley of Glory", where the fiercest fighting between defenders of the Soviet Arctic and the Nazi invaders had taken place.

Employees of the Investigations Directorate stopped the cars on the road of the Kola Federal Highway near Lake Kuyrkyavr and laid wreaths at the memorial of the Hero of the Soviet Union M.L.Ivchenko who had performed an immortal feat on the first day of the Petsamo-Kirkenes offensive of Soviet troops, repeating the immortal feat of Alexander Matrosov. The Head of the Investigations Directorate Major General Nikolai Konnov made a salutatory address to the staff. In his congratulatory speech, he pointed out that the time has no power over the feat of winners, who had been approaching the victory by their heroic home front work, overcoming the grief of loss and deprivation. The Head of the Investigations Directorate expressed gratitude to veterans and wished everyone good health and peaceful sky .

Then a visit to the Memorial Complex "Valley of Glory" took place. Bringing a tribute to the great heroism of Soviet soldiers, employees of the Investigations Directorate recalled the history of the Great Patriotic War and its heroes and after honoring the memory of fallen soldiers by observing a minute of silence they laid wreaths and flowers.
