In Republic of Crimea pre-investigating check launched against deputy of Ukraine’s Supreme Rada Oleg Lyashko

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in the Republic of Crimea are carrying out a pre-investigating check into media report on the attempt to take children out to Turkey “for holiday” by deputy of the Ukraine’s Supreme Rada Oleg Lyashko.

The news page of an Internet portal shows information, citing assistant children’s ombudsmen of Russia, that in July 2012 deputy of the Supreme Rada Lyashko tried to take out 2 inmates of Yalta orphanage aged 12 and 14 from Crimea to Turkey “for holiday”.

Considering that the said teenagers, who might have been hurt by the deputy, at present live in Crimea and are citizens of Russia, the head of the Investigations Directorate in the Republic of Crimea has organized the pre-investigating check.

At present checks are underway to find out all the circumstances of the deputy’s involvement in committing any crimes against children. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
