In Khabarovsk Territory criminal investigation launched in missing teenager

The Khabarovsk Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have started a criminal investigation into disappearance of a 13-year-old teenager as containing signs of a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF penal Code (murder).

In the morning on 18 May 2014, underage Ilya Romashchenko left home and has not returned to the present time. The teenager lives in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur and was a student of a special school.

At present investigating and search operations are underway to find the boy. Police units, crime detection personnel, juvenile divisions and district police operatives are searching for the missing. Residential buildings and yards neighboring the teenager’s residence are being combed. His classmates and friends, who might know anything, are being questioned.
