The Stavropol Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation against deputy head of Georgieyvsk inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service suspected of a crime under part 1 of article 293 of the RF Penal Code (negligence).

According to investigators, in October 2013, having real opportunity to execute instructions of the resolution of the Stavropol Territory tax inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service within the due term of financial audit, did not take measure to execute them, and before the 3-month term expiration ignoring information on OOO OilTrade, ruling out validity and legality of the tax payer’s right for tax deduction, signed the decision on the VAT compensation. As a result director of OOO OilTrade unreasonably received 489 million 585 thousand 645 rubles of VAT compensation.

At present investigating operations are underway to gather necessary evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
