The eighth session of the Euro-Asian Law Congress was held in Yekaterinburg in the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Urals State Law University on 22-23 May 2014. The session was attended by Vice-Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Fyodorov.

The Euro-Asian Law Congress was established in 2007 by the Association of Lawyers of Russia in an effort to form a special platform for discussions and a means of coordinating legal research and developments with the active participation of authorities and business. The Congress’s activity is supported by the Russian President and Chairman of the RF Government.

The eighth session of the Congress “Cooperation of national legal systems: modern forms and tendencies” was focused on the search of efficient forms of cooperation between national legal systems within political, economic and cultural processes of modern world.

Mr. Fyodorov took part in two expert groups: “Politics. Law. Security” and “Transnational and national conceptions and patterns of penal counteraction to crimes in pharmacology and pharmaceutics”.

It should be noted that among the participants of the eighth session of the Euro-Asian Law Congress were: Advisor to the RF President Veniamin Yakovlev, Chairman of the RF State Duma’s Committee on civil, penal, arbitration and procedural legislation, Chairman of the Association of Lawyers of Russia Pavel Krasheninnikov, Chairman of intellectual rights court Lyudmila Novosyolova, Professor of tax law of the Vienna Economy University and the Salerno Pistone Pasquale University.

The session was also attended by acknowledged scientists of administrative legal proceedings, business, international, constitutional, financial, labor, penal law from Russia, Kazakhstan, Finland, France, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Brasil, Serbia, representatives of leading law universities of Russia, famous practicing lawyers.
