May 20, 2014, a boy born in 2009 was hospitalized from the water park of the "Hotel complex "Pribaltiyskaya" ("Waterville"). The investigating authorities of the St. Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation have launched pre investigation checks into this fact.

According to preliminary data, at about 05.00 pm, on May 20, 2014, the victim was at the water park with his parents. After a 4-year-old boy took off a life jacket and handed it to the parents, the latter began to put it on another child. At this time, the boy who headed to the exit of the pool, went back and submerged. The child's father immediately took him out of the water, and the water park lifeguards rendered him medical care, during which they restored a respiratory function, and after that the child was hospitalized. At the moment he is in hospital in a satisfactory condition, his life is not in danger.

The checks aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident are underway. A procedural decision is to be taken upon the checks’ results.
