Employees of Main Investigations Directorate and Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate of Russia’s Investigative Committee and Cadets of Russia’s Investigative Committee commemorated victims of Great Patriotic War

May 8, 2014, employees of the Main Investigations Directorate and the Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia and the Cadets of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation took part in the ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the monument "Mother Homeland " dedicated to the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 at the Piskaroyvskoye Memorial Cemetery in St. Petersburg.

In addition, employees of the Leningrad Region Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia visited a Great Patriotic War veteran Natalya Truneva.

Natalya Truneva was born in 1921 in Leningrad. From 1942 to 1945, she fought at the Leningrad and Volkhov fronts as a signaler. She was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, the "Badge of Honor", and the Medal "Veteran of the investigating authorities". From 1945 to 1979 she worked as investigator at the Vyborg Prosecutor’s Office. Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation, she has been repeatedly recognized as the best investigator of the Leningrad Region.

The staff warmly congratulated Natalya Truneva on the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and wished her good health, prosperity, and long life for the joy of all her relatives and friends.
