On the eve of Victory Day staff of Moscow Region Main Investigations Directorate of Russia’s Investigative Committee met with Great Patriotic War veterans

Today, May 8, 2014, on the eve of 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the staff of the Moscow Region Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia met with the veterans of the Great Patriotic War - 89-year-old Viktor Vasilyevich Solovyov and 85-year-old Zoya Alekseyevna Solovyova.

Viktor Vasilyevich Solovyov is an Air Force Colonel, was directly involved in the hostilities, including the liberation of Warsaw and the capture of Berlin. Zoya Alekseyevna Solovyova is a labor veteran, a resident of besieged Leningrad, has a class rank – Justice Advisor, previously she worked for the prosecuting bodies, including as an investigator.

During the meeting and festive greetings from the staff of the Main Investigations Directorate the veterans were presented with flowers and valuable souvenirs.

Interaction with veterans has been performed regularly since May 2010; they receive the necessary support and assistance in emerging issues, transportation and other things.

The team of the Main Investigations Directorate expressed gratitude and appreciation to veterans for having faithfully served for the benefit of the country.
