Arsen Avakov and Igor Kolomoysky internationally wanted

During the investigation into use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, aggravated murder, preventing professional activities of journalists and abduction, the investigators of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have issued a wanted warrant on Arsen Avakov and Igor Kolomoysky. The warrant was sent to the Main Criminal Detection Office of the Russian Interior Ministry. Avakov and Kolomoysky are internationally wanted in all member-countries of the Interpol.

They are charged with organization of a number of crimes: murders, usage of prohibited means and methods of warfare, preventing professional activity of journalists and kidnapping (part 3 of article 33, paragraphs “a”, “b”, “f”, “g”, “l” of part 2 of article 105, part 3 of article 33, part 1 of article 356, part 3 of article 33, part 3 of article 144, part 3 of article 33, paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 126 of the RF Penal Code).

Over forty investigators keep on carrying out a large amount of investigating operations on the people, arriving from Ukraine, to the Rostov Region, Republic of Crimea, as well as the Belgorod, Voronezh, Bryansk, Kursk and other regions. As of the present moment, 2,400 witnesses have been questioned, 1,470 people have been found victims, including 208 minors. More than a thousand of people have handed Russian investigators their claims addressed to the International Criminal Court and the European Court of Human Rights.

Moreover, measures are being taken to identify certain individuals from the number of officers and soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard of Ukraine and Right Sector militants, who took part in a military operation against the civilians in southeastern Ukraine. The Investigation is ongoing.
