Together with cadets of the Nekrasovka boarding school for orphans and children left without parental care, the staff of the Oryol Region Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation held a solemn meeting dedicated to the celebration of the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War at the sponsored military cemetery in the village of Bagrinovo, Bolhov District, Oryol Region, where the remains of 288 soldiers are buried. From autumn 1941 to summer 1943, continuous bloody battles had been taking place in this area, so it was named the "Death Valley". The total number of killed and missing had amounted to hundreds of thousands. The event was attended by representatives of government agencies and security forces, war veterans, home front workers, residents of the Bolhov District, representatives of the clergy and the media.

A ceremony of oath taking by members of the Oryol Region Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia and cadets of the Nekrasovka boarding school was held during the solemn meeting. After that a holiday concert took place.

On the eve of celebrations, the staff of the Investigations Directorate and cadets had improved the territory of the military cemetery and had cleaned the neighboring areas.
