Staff of Tver Region Investigations Directorate of Russia’s Investigative Committee congratulated was and investigative authorities’ veterans on eve of 69th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War

On the eve of the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the management and staff of the Tver Region Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation congratulated war and investigating authorities veterans and home front workers on Victory Day and provided them with targeted assistance, visiting them at home - Gruzdev Alexander Vladimirovich, Kabanov Pavel Pavlovich, who were directly involved in hostilities during the Great Patriotic War, Zoya Ilyinichna Komarovskaya - a resident of besieged Leningrad, investigating authorities veterans - Tsarev Yevgeny Mikhailovich, Bogomolova Nina Nikolayevna and Nefedchenkov Alexander Andreyevich -consulting mentors.

Thus, Kabanov Pavel Pavlovich was born in 1929 in the village of Kostino, Zubtsov District, Tver Region in the family of farmers. The village was destroyed in the battles for Rzhev, his parents died of disease. Underage Pavel fought at the front in 1942-1943. In May 1945, as part of the composite battalion of the Kalinin Suvorov Military School he took part in the Great Victory Parade. From 1949 to 1951 he studied at the RSFSR Supreme Soviet Moscow School. After graduating from the school, from 1951 to 1957, he served as an officer in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany. In 1957, he was dismissed due to the reduction of the Armed Forces with the rank of captain. From 1957 to 1962 he studied at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. In March 1962, while studying full-time at the Law Faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Pavel Pavlovich Kabanov got a job of a trainee investigator at the Prosecutor's Office of the Kalinin Region. From 1962 to 1968 he worked as an investigator, and from 1968 to 1991 as a prosecutor - criminalist at the regional prosecutor's office. In 1991, he resigned from the prosecutor's office in connection with retirement for years of service. He has a title of senior counselor of justice. While working as a prosecutor – criminalist, in 1982, he defended his thesis and received his PhD in law. From 1982 to 1991 he worked as a part-time teacher at the Kalinin State University, from 1991 to 2008 he was engaged in teaching at the Kalinin (Tver) University at the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, where he lectured on the basics of criminology. Kabanov has published more than 60 articles in the magazine "Zakonnost".

The veterans told that they had dedicated more than 20 years of their lives to serving at prosecuting authorities, starting with severe post-war work of the investigator, shared the most vivid memories of criminal cases they had investigated, which they remember in detail despite the years.

From year to year the number of was veterans and home front workers grows smaller, and therefore they need protection and assistance. One thing is important for veterans - they are honored and respected not only by the family but also by friends and colleagues!
