North Ossetia-Alania Parliament deputy suspected of grand fraud

The North Caucasus Federal District Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against deputy of North Ossetia-Alania Parliament Kazbek Mrykov and other unidentified individuals suspected of fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159).

According to investigators, Mrykov, occupying the said position and being CEO of ZAO PMK-83 acted as a contractor in capital building of the Mountain Recreational Complex Mamison, built in Alagir District in North Ossetia-Alania and ordered by the Office of Capital Building – Investment Directorate of the North Ossetia-Alania Government (at present Main Construction Office of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania). This way, two contracts worth over 780 million rubles were concluded in 2008 and 2011.

In fact, Mrykov together with unidentified accomplices did not only organized and supervised the works, amount, quality and cost of which were knowing lower than those provided by the requirements of state contracts and design estimates, but submitted fictitious data on their execution to the Office of Capital Building – Investment Directorate. As a result of the said actions the state suffered a loss of over 82 million rubles.

Today a number of searches have been conducted, including in ZAO PMK-83, State Construction Department of North Ossetia-Alania, at Mrykov’s residence and at those of five persons involved in execution of the contracts. Accounting and construction documents have been confiscated during the searches.

At present a number of investigating operations necessary to find out all the circumstances of the crime are under way. The investigation is ongoing.
