One more member of Alexander Trunov’s gang detained

The Siberian Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case against members of a criminal group led by Alexander Trunov charged with serious and very serious crimes committed between 1997 and 2009 in the city of Novosibirsk.

On 14 August 2014, competent bodies of Thailand detained Mark Lunyov, a member of the criminal group, who has been wanted since 15 June 2010. Lunyov had been charged in absentia with crimes under part 2 of article 210 of the RF Penal Code, paragraphs “a” and “b” of part 3 of article 163 (membership in a criminal group and extortion) and a court had ruled to place him in custody. On 22 August 2014, Lunyov was deported in the Russian Federation and arrested by the police.

Although most members of the group, including Trunov, have already been sentenced to long prison terms, 4 people are still wanted internationally.

In addition, it was reported earlier that in February 2014, another active member Anatoly Radchenko was detained in Austria, who had been wanted since 2009. He is soon going to be extradited to the Russian Federation.

This way the work to implement the principle of unavoidable punishment for all people involved in the said criminal group is continued.
