In Perm Territory directors of facility managers to stand trial for misappropriation and embezzlement on very large scale

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Perm Territory have finished investigating a criminal case against former and current deputies of elective authorities of one of townships in the Perm Territory. They are charged with crimes under part 3 and part 4 of article 160 of the RF Penal Code (misappropriation and embezzlement committed by a group of people in a previous concert using their official positions on a very large scale), article 196 (deliberate bankruptcy).

According to investigators, between 2008 and 2012, the accused while being founders and heads of three facility managing companies servicing blocks of flats, did not transferred, but misappropriated part of money they got from people as paying for communal services. Misappropriation and embezzlement made one of the companies unable to fully meet requirements of creditors and pay the resource suppliers. Therefore the company was recognized bankrupt. The overall stolen sum stood at over 39 million rubles.

The investigators questioned over 50 witnesses and ran over 20 complex expert examinations. There are 64 volumes in the case.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, so the case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
