Charges pressed against Vnukovo crash case defendant

The Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case over the crash of a Falcon jet at Vnukovo airport.

Today trainee flight controller Svetlana Krivsun, who is under house arrest, has been charged with a crime under part 3 of article 263 of the RF Penal Code (violation of safety standards for operation and traffic of an aircraft involving death of two or more people by negligence). She has been interviewed as the accused.

It has been reported earlier that the Main Investigations Directorate detained Vnukovo leading flight engineer Vladimir Ledenev, Vnukovo control tower operator Roman Dunayev, flight controller Alexander Kruglov and trainee flight controller Svetlana Krivsun. On the day of the crash Ledenev was in charge of snow clearance, Dunayev, Krivsun and Kruglov of flights.

The investigation is ongoing.
