Alexander Bastrykin on working trip in Tatarstan

Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has held a briefing in the town of Naberezhnye Chelny attended by heads of investigations directorates of constituent entities of the Volga Federal District. The meeting heard about the progress and results of a number of investigations in crimes that resonated in wider public. At the end of the meeting Mr. Bastrykin gave a number of explicit orders regarding direction of investigations.

He is also planning to meet today with the family of 12-year-old Danil Sadykov, who gave his life to save a 9-year-old boy in May 2012 in the town of naberezhnye Chelny. The small boy fell in a fountain with electrified water. Danil rushed to save the boy and was fatally struck by electric shock. For that Danil Sadykov was honored with the Order of Courage posthumously. In August 2012, all officials, guilty of the tragedy, got just sentences. The Investigations Directorate of the Republic of Tatarstan constantly support Danil Sadykov’s family.
